Mrs. Yancy's Classroom Expectations
Materials:
Materials needed for class each day: pencil, pen, math book, calculator, notebook paper and a folder or notebook to keep papers organized.
Homework:
Homework will be given daily and graded (Due) the following day in class. Students will most likely have math homework every night, but most of the assignments will be worked on during the end of class, so if they use their tie wisely, several, if not all problems can be done before they leave the classroom. If I ask to “Show Work” on assignments, students must show work for credit.
Work will be graded daily.
It is the responsibility of the student to get their assignment(s) from the teacher or a classmate, when absent. Notes will be taken in class and graded on a daily bases. Homework should have name, page #, assignment, and class period.

In the classroom the following rules will be enforced:
1. Students will show courtesy and respect for everone in the class.
2. Students will follow schoo/classroom rules.
3. Studens will help create a positive Learning environment.
Consequences: (1) Warning;
(2) Moved or sent to office;
(3) Office/Detention. Contact Parents.
Grading Scale:
Same as printed in the student handbook.
Note: Student's quarter grade will consist of about 40% homework/notes
and 60% test/quizes. Semester grade will be an average of the percentage
points earned in both quarters.
Tests:
Retake on test will be offered to any student who scores below 70% on the first test: then the two test cores will be averaged together for a final score. The reatke test must be taken within on or two days after the first test before or after school (students need to make arrangements with teacher).
